Carlos Garcés


Born in Soria, he started his classic guitar studies at the age of 6, just to join the Professional Musical Conservatory “Oreste Camarca” in Soria two years later in the transverse flute specialty, along with the teacher Rafael Clemente.

He has been a member of the “Banda Municipal de Música de Soria” since 2001. In July 2005 he gets the flute-piccolo player post in the JOSCyL (Joven Orquesta Sinfonica de Castilla y Leon/Young Symphony Orchestra of Castilla y León).

He has been one of the coordinators in the Michel Debost flute course in the “Otoño Musical Soriano” in 2008. He also picked the music representing the Soria City Council in the EXPO Zaragoza back in 2008.

He has a degree in Primary Education from University of Valladolid. Today, he studies for a degree in “Musical Direction” at the Superior Music Conservatory in the Vask Country (MUSIKENE), under the master Enrique’s García Asensio tutelage.

In the musical direction field he gets advice from Ferrer Ferrán, Jose Manuel Aceña, Pascual Balaguer, José Vicent Egea, Antón García Abril and Odón Alonso. From October 2003, being only 17, to January 2005, he was the Director of the “Coral de Soria”. From November 2005 to November 2007 he worked as the Assistant Director of the “Banda Municipal de Música de Soria”.

Carlos Garcés owns a scholarship that allows him to study in the Superior Conservatory “G.B Martini” in Bologna (Italia). There, he takes master Luciano’s Acocella classes.

In October 2010 he directed “La Pamplonesa” and in March 2011 the Euskadi Symphonic Orchestra. He was the assistant director of the Rouen Opera Orchestra (France) along with the master Luciano Acocella.

He is now the director of the Chambers Orchestra “Lira Numantina” in Soria. He is also in charge of the direction of the Orchestra City of Palencia.
